As one of the invited amateurs heading into the Betway Big Easy Tour 7, Luke Truter will hope to impress in his ninth tournament so far as he targets a move up the rankings.
Truter has been in impressive form this year, as he heads into the showpiece sitting in 15th place on the Order of Merit with 225.69 points to his name after eight tournaments.
The South African golfer previously featured in the Betway Blu Label Unlimited Invitational 3 at the Ruimsig Country Club last month, where he finished in 10th position, taking home R3291.
At the Betway Blu Label Unlimited Invitational 2 in April, Truter cracked the top 20 with a 19th place finish, while he was equally impressive at the first Blu Label Invitational as he ended the tournament in 12th spot.
In perhaps his best performance to date, Truter came in fourth at the Betway Big Easy Tour 2 alongside Jonathan Wilsenach at the ERPM Golf Club in May.
With 62 career Birdies to his name, Truter remains a highly rated prospect in South African golf after accumulating R13 517 career prize money in a short space of time.
