Final
Arsenal v Paris Saint-Germain

Kick-off is at 18:00
Following a highly successful run in the league phase of the UEFA Champions League, Arsenal’s resolve was greatly tested en-route to qualifying for the final as they staked their claim as one of the best teams in Europe this season.
After claiming eight wins in eight matches in the UCL league phase, the Gunners were tasked to take on Bayer Leverkusen in the Round of 16 as their first knockout assignment.
During the first-leg, which was played at the BayArena on 11 March, Arsenal came away with a 1-1 draw on away soil with Kai Havertz converting an 89th minute penalty to give his side hope heading into the return fixture.
Things were slightly more comfortable at the Emirates in the second-leg a week later as Eberechi Eze and Declan Rice scored in each half during a 2-0 win to secure a 3-1 aggregate victory.
The reigning Premier league champions then met Sporting in the Quarter-finals and played their initial leg away from home once more. In what was a tough outing for Arsenal on 7 April, given Sporting’s overall form at the time, Havertz’ 91st minute winner proved to be only goal of the game at Estádio José.
A complete shutout in a 0-0 draw at the Emirates in the second leg saw the Gunners advance to the final four as the likes of Piero Hincapié, Gabriel Magalhaes, William Saliba, Cristhian Mosquera and David Raya put on a clinical defensive display in London.

Arsenal shared the semi-final stage alongside Atletico Madrid, a team they beat by a 4-0 scoreline in the league phase at the Emirates stadium.
Diego Simeone opted for his usual 4-4-2 formation in the first-leg at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano Stadium on 29 April, while Arsenal relied on a changed 4-3-3 system on away grounds.
Following a tense technical battle throughout the 90 minutes, the Gunners took the lead on the stroke of half-time, with Viktor Gyokeres scoring from the spot. Atletico likewise received favour from the penalty spot moments before the hour-mark as Julian Alvarez levelled the scoring.
Arsenal completed a 2-1 aggregate victory in the second-leg, after Bukayo Saka’s lone effort separated the two sides at the Emirates on 5 May. Mikel Arteta ultimately changed his model for the match, opting for a primary 4-2-3-1 formation as they dominated the Spanish giants during large parts of the fixture.
