Marco Bezzecchi will be eager to bounce back from misfortune and extend his championship lead by clinching the Czechia MotoGP with his Aprilia Racing machine.

Nicknamed “the Bez,” Bezzecchi was unfortunately caught up in the dramatic Turn 1 multi-rider crash at the Hungarian MotoGP on 7 June, resulting in a DNF.
The incident, triggered by teammate Jorge Martin, ended his race early but he escaped without serious injury.

The Bez sits first in the 2026 MotoGP Riders’ standings with 180 points.
Bezzecchi leads his Aprilia teammate Jorge Martin by 20 points as the two factory riders continue their intense battle for the world title.

The Italian Grand Prix motorcycle racer has been one of the most consistent performers this year, winning several races to boost his title ambitions.
Bezzecchi has been crowned champion four times this season: in Thailand (Round 1), Brazil (Round 2), United States (Round 3), and Italy at Mugello (Round 7).
The championship leader will be determined to deliver a strong performance and secure victory at Brno to rebuild his momentum, having finished second in the 2025 Czechia MotoGP.

“Despite making a good start, I was immediately caught up in the multi-rider crash at Turn 1. Luckily, none of us were seriously hurt, just a few bruises and knocks. We will make up for it in Brno.”
