Toyota Gazoo Racing will challenge for their sixth 24h Le Mans title this year, hoping to maximize the performance of their TR010 Hybrid race cars over the next couple of days.
Known for setting the fastest-ever lap at Circuit de la Sarthe, Toyota Gazoo Racing will be led by Mike Conway, Kamui Kobayashi and Nyck de Vries in the #7 car while Sébastien Buemi, Brendon Hartley and Ryō Hirakawa will take charge of the #8 car at the showpiece.
Toyota Gazoo Racing managed only a fifth-place finish at the 2025 Le Mans race after 386 laps in the Toyota H8909 3.5L Turbo V6 engine.
The popular team will thus hope to emulate their Le Mans showing between 2018 and 2022 where they recorded an historic run of five consecutive victories in their iconic TS050 & GR010 Hybrid motors.
With the 2026 Le Mans in view, driver Mike Conway has high hopes for the team’s updated car after making positive progress in the last couple of weeks.
“Le Mans is the race we always wait for, and we are all excited to be going back there. Hopefully we can fight at the front and have a chance of winning,” Conway said.
“We’ve had a pretty good start to the season, and we think the updated car is a step forward.
“We’ll see if that’s enough when we get to Le Mans. I can’t wait to be back on track there.”
