Jorge Martin will be keen to keep his 2026 MotoGP world title bid on track by winning the Hungarian MotoGP with his Aprilia bike.

The 28-year-old put in a strong showing for Aprilia at the Italian MotoGP on 31 May, finishing second in the Sprint race and backing it up with another runner-up finish in the main Grand Prix.
Martin stayed with the leading group the entire race and crossed the line just behind his teammate Marco Bezzecchi.

Nicknamed “Martinator,” Martin sits second in the 2026 MotoGP Riders’ standings with 156 points.
The Martinator trails championship leader Marco Bezzecchi by 17 points as the two Aprilia teammates go head to head for the MotoGP world title.
Why Martin could win the Hungarian MotoGP
Martin has been in strong form throughout 2026, consistently fighting at the front and showing excellent race pace on the Aprilia.
The Madrid-born Spaniard has already taken multiple podiums this season and has looked sharp in recent rounds.
With his confidence high and the bike working well, the Martinator will be pushing hard to convert his strong 2026 form into his second win of the year at Balaton Park.
