World no. 17 Robert MacIntyre is one of six past champions in the field bidding for more honours at the Canadian Open from 11-14 June.
The Scotsman won the title in 2024 when he carded a 16-under 264 to beat Ben Griffin by one stroke, which was his maiden success on the PGA Tour.
MacIntyre then followed it up with victory on home soil at the Scottish Open one month later, but has now gone almost two years without a win.
The 29-year-old almost ended that drought in April when he finished just one shot behind winner J.J. Spaun at the Texas Open in T2.
However, MacIntyre has struggled since then, missing the cut at the Masters Tournament, the PGA Championship and, most recently, the Memorial Tournament.
The 2025 US Open runner-up became a father in January and he concedes that 2026 might be a challenging year for him, with his goal to qualify for the Tour Championship in August.
“My goal this year to be honest with you is to make East Lake. It’s not to finish top 10 in the [FedEx Cup],” MacIntyre said.
“My life’s changed so can I still make progress, but just accept that this year might not be the best year for me on the golf course.
“It’s about trying to navigate life a little bit differently and I think, so far, we’ve been doing a good job. I think the last couple of weeks has been a massive learning curve for me.”
