New York Knicks star Karl Anthony Towns believes that his side has the ability to hold a lead as they take a 2-0 advantage into Game three of the NBA finals against the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday.
Towns led the Knicks with 21 points and 13 rebounds in a 105-104 win over the Spurs at the Frost Bank Center in Game two this past Saturday.
The result came after the Knicks claimed a 105-95 win over their opponents in Game one, while the New York side will return to their home base with a confident aura.
Now with a comfortable series lead to make a success of their first NBA final in 27-years, Towns believes that the Knicks played ‘hard’, given their reputation of being a physically dominant side.

“We played hard, we got ourselves a lead. It’s something we’ve done so well in this playoffs. We’ve gotten leads and we’ve held the leads,” Towns said.
“Today, the Spurs fought. They got themselves back into the lead and put themselves in a position to win but we found a way to get it done.”
