Betway Big Easy Blu Label Unlimited Invitational #4
State Mines CC
18-20 August 2026
R150,000 prize fund
England’s Daniel Smith will chase another win on the Betway Big Easy Tour when he competes at the Blu Label Unlimited Invitational #4, set for the State Mines Country Club from 18 to 20 August 2026.
Form and Order of Merit:
Smith shot 72 and 77 (+5) through two rounds at the last Betway Big Easy tournament, held in Soweto earlier this month, as he failed to make the cut.
The Englishman therefore failed to secure any points from the event, leaving him with 567.36 points on the Order of Merit from nine tournament appearances – this leaves him in third place behind Wandre Snyman and Jordan Wessels.
Why Smith could challenge:
Having recently had his breakthrough moment on the Big Easy Tour by winning the tournament in Akasia Golf Club in July, Smith has the confidence and composure to chase his second title and underline his status as a rising star in the sport.
About the State Mines Country Club:
State Mines Country Club is one of only four championship golf courses within the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan area and is consistently rated amongst the 100 best courses in the country.
Commissioned in 1909 by the State Mines Gold Mining Company as a nine-hole recreational facility for company employees, it was subsequently upgraded to an eighteen-hole course.
