Cameron Young will look to build on his decent form when he tees it up at the FedEx St. Jude Championship and claim his third win in the 2026 PGA Tour season.

What to know about Young

The American star turned professional in 2019 and has steadily risen through the ranks by competing on the Korn Ferry Tour and PGA Tour.

Young has already secured three PGA Tour victories, including THE PLAYERS Championship, and established himself as one of the most consistent players in the game.

Latest News

Young finished tied 61st in his most recent start at the Wyndham Championship and arrives in Memphis ranked number three in the FedExCup standings.

The New York City-born golfer is currently ranked 3rd in the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR), which is also his best ranking.

Why Young is one of the favourites

The 29-year-old has secured strong finishes in recent majors: a runner-up at The Open Championship and a tie for third at the Masters.

Young now returns to the FedExCup Playoffs with major-contending momentum and two big wins (The Players Championship and Cadillac Championship) already this season.

Quotes

“Winning is really hard. It’s not — at no point did it feel easy, did it feel like the tournament was over,” Young said after winning the 2026 Cadillac Championship.

“Even the last couple holes there’s a lot that can happen and you’re never quite sure what the guys in front of you are going to do, the other guys in your group.

“So it was really just a matter of keeping my head down and trying to play good golf all the way through to the finish.”
