Taylor Pendrith returns to the scene of his former glory when he tees it up the Byron Nelson from 21-24 May.
The Canadian is one of four former champions in the field, having carded a 23-under 261 to beat Ben Kohles by one stroke in 2024.
That has been Pendrith’s sole win on the PGA Tour and he’s not had a great season to date in 2026, achieving just one top 10 while missing the cut on four occasions.
The 34-year-old started the year strongly with a T6 at the Sony Open in Hawaii, but his next best performance was a T37 at the Truist Championship.
Pendrith made the cut at the PGA Championship after holing six birdies in the second round – the joint-most in field that day – although he also had five bogeys and a triple-bogey in a score of 72.
The world no. 82 would go on to finish T44 after shooting 67 and 71 in the final two rounds and felt he might have done better overall had it not been for the final hole on the Friday.
“Other than the last 20 minutes of the day, it was great. Sucks to finish like that, but I played really, really nice today,” Pendrith told Sportsnet.
“Drove it awesome, hit some really good irons, and made some putts today, which was really nice to see. I felt like I played a really, really nice golf until the end.”
